Habits and Why They Matter: Part 2

1.5 CPDs   Run Time 21:40

In Part 2 of this 3-part series on habits, we explore the 4 stages of development for educators and their corresponding sensitive periods. You’ll identify where you are in your journey as a Montessori educator and reflect on which habits are most beneficial for you to develop.

Theories that we will explore to describe the phenomena we go through at each of the stages are: Erik Erikson’s stages of psychosocial development, Robert Kegan’s theory of adult development, the conscious competence learning model made famous by Martin M. Broadwell, and the stages of the hero’s journey compiled by Joseph Campbell.

Learner Outcomes

Join this webinar to gain:

  • An understanding of the 4 stages of development for educators.
  • Insights into the stages you've been through and the stage you are currently in.
  • An appreciation for habits that will support your ongoing development.

While attending Habits & Why They Matter: Part 1 is not a prerequisite, it has helpful information on how habits are formed. As this is a first step to creating the types of habits we want and need, participating in it—either before or after Part 2—will add depth to the experience.
