Dr. Montessori envisioned schools where learning was so compelling children would use it to build their souls. However, in our search for excellence, rigor, and accountability, we sometimes forget that learning should be fun. This workshop will explore how to kindle students’ imaginations, stimulating their capacity for investigation, work, and conceptual understanding. You will be guided to examine the nature of children’s humor, find playful, silly ways to capture their attention, and, as a result, be able to affect serious, deliberate learning.
