This webinar teaches the anatomy of effective lessons. It includes an analysis of the pedagogy of the Three-Period Lesson. It provides strategies for the 1st Period, including getting (and keeping) attention, using “points of interest,” differentiating for various learners, and, clarifying and reinforcing key concepts for recall and application.
Learner Outcomes
- Understand the anatomy of effective lessons.
- Understand the pedagogy of the Three-Period Lesson, including distinctions among the periods, objectives of each of the periods, and pitfalls of blurring the distinctions.
- Learn strategies and examples to gain and hold children’s attention, differentiate for various learners, and identify key concepts they must emphasize for recall and application.
About the Presenter
