Nature as Your Classroom

1.5 CPDs, Run Time 56:19

As Montessori educators, we are always using our observations skills. More often these skills are being used within the classroom environment. However, we can use these skills just as effectively to focus on the needs of the child when out in nature. During this session we will focus on the importance of children being out in nature as often as possible and how to use our observation skills to help guide the child while outdoors. You will leave with a better understanding of how nature can help foster toddlers' concentration and focus and build confidence and spatial awareness.

Jill Nowacek has been a Toddler teacher at a Montessori School in Maryland. She has also been a field consultant and an instructor for an TEP. She also has her Yoga Teacher Certification. AMS credentialed (Infant & Toddler).

This webinar was originally presented at TME 2022.
