Social Emotional Learning and Conflict Resolution in the Montessori Classroom

Skillful communication helps children build relationships with parents, teachers, and peers. This workshop shares intentional ways to interact and support children's independence. You will learn supportive language and how to engage with children to help them communicate emotions in various scenarios and problem-solve when their feelings or bodies are hurt. This intentional way of supporting children has proven to support children's social-emotional health as well as build their confidence in relationships with both adults and peers.
Jamie Minniear is the owner, director, and teacher at Community Montessori School, Liberty Township, Ohio. Jamie has a BS in Elementary Education from the University of Cincinnati. She earned her Montessori Early Childhood Credential from Greater Cincinnati Center for Montessori Education and also taught adult learners in the training program from 2011-2016.
