Studying the Seasons: Phenology Part 1

In the first of a 4-part learning journey, Nancy and Linda will introduce you to, phenology, the study of the impact of climate on plants and animals. They will explain how phenology helps students understand the importance of being stewards of the Earth, and illuminate how it brings Montessori lessons to life.

Next, they will share ideas for getting your students outside on a regular basis to journal about nature, and address how this practice complements Montessori’s philosophy and curriculum. You will be encouraged to journal and to begin collecting resources for upcoming lessons.
