We will revisit Dr. Maria Montessori’s beliefs on mathematics, and discuss the ways in which the math curriculum plays out in your classroom. In addition, we will delve into Montessori’s teachings, which explain the importance of developing the child’s mathematical mind, rather than simply teaching the child how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Finally, join our discussion on how Montessori math materials give students the means to develop their own mathematical skills and ability to solve problems, and supports healthy brain development.
