Come with us to explore the solar system, the moon, the earth, and the rock and water cycles as we move beyond three-part cards to make science fun and engaging for the young learners. We are Early Childhood teachers who have spent several years making science lessons more fun and engaging through hands-on activities. Our goal is for students to be able to identify, discuss, and demonstrate the knowledge they acquired through these lessons. We are excited to share our experiences with you!

Sara Harlan has been a Montessori lead teacher in Houston, TX, since 2001.  She has been teaching in a public Montessori school since 1999, and has been awarded teacher of the year several times. Sara has presented in many districtwide conferences throughout Houston ISD and Aldine ISD.  She presented at NCME in 2006.
Irene Lezaun, BA, MEd, is an Early Childhood guide at Ella J. Baker Montessori in Houston, TX.  She has been a lead teacher since 2016, and has presented at Public Montessori Educators of Texas and at The Montessori Event. AMS credentialed (Early Childhood).
Elida Perez has been a Montessori lead teacher in Houston, TX, since 2015.  She has been working in a public Montessori school since 2009. Elida has presented in districtwide conferences throughout the Houston Independent School District.
